A corporate video for entering foreign markets
A foreign partner won't visit your plant before the first deal. What a company video must show to earn their trust, and how a basic film differs from turnkey.
In short. A corporate video is what you send a potential partner instead of a ten-page presentation. It has to answer their main question: can we trust you? For manufacturing that means scale and processes; for IT, products and team. An English version is a must.
When a company enters a foreign market, the first meeting often happens by email, not in person. A partner won't fly in to see the workshop before the first deal. They'll open the website, the presentation — and, if there is one, the video. In two or three minutes the video shows what reads as empty words in text: "modern equipment", "large capacity", "experienced team".
What a foreign partner wants to see
- Scale. Floor space, lines, volumes — proof that you can handle the order.
- Processes and order. How work goes from raw material to finished product. Order on the shop floor convinces more than certificates on the wall.
- People. Who is responsible for quality and who they'll be working with.
- The product. What exactly you make and why it's better.
A local customer and a foreign partner ask different questions. So the script is written for an international audience, not translated from a "local" video.
Our examples: manufacturing and IT
UkrdrevExim needed to present itself as a reliable professional partner. We put the emphasis on capacity, processes and the scale of production. The video builds the company's image on the international market, presents the production and supports communication with foreign partners.
The IT company LIONWOOD needed a modern, professional image for talking to clients abroad. We made a turnkey video, from idea to final cut, with complex post-production: the company, its key products and the benefits of working together. It works in communication with international clients, in negotiations and in company presentations.
Lesson. Any production looks ordinary from the inside. The camera operator's and lighting job is to show scale and order the way a partner will see them.
Basic film or turnkey
- Corporate video — a well-shot, well-edited story about the company with an English version. Right when the main thing is to show your production as it is.
- Turnkey — a developed idea, complex post-production and graphics. Needed when the product is intangible (as in IT) or you need to stand out from competitors.
Both work — it comes down to the task and the budget.
Where to use the video
- The email to a partner. A link to the video in the first email — instead of a 20 MB attachment.
- The website. An English website with the video on the first screen — your own site, not a page on a builder.
- Negotiations and trade shows. A short cut for the stand, the full version for meetings.
A product video helps show the product up close, and 3D video shows complex equipment from the inside.
What it costs
On our price list a corporate video (filming, edit, English version) starts at €1,800, turnkey with complex post-production at €6,500, and a trade-show package is priced individually. Prices exclude VAT.
Tell us who you need to impress on the corporate video page — we'll suggest a format for that task.
